“Given the opportunity” – Chelsea man tipped to become ‘top, top player’

There’s been plenty of Chelsea players on display this weekend and last week as the international games continue.

It’s been a chance for some players who perhaps are not getting the nod as much as they would like to be at Chelsea right now, get some solid minutes on the pitch.

Sources: Chelsea managerial situation explained – Julian Nagelsmann and Graham Potter!

That can be said about winger Noni Madueke, who started off getting picked by Graham Potter when he first arrived, but lately he is lucky if he even touches grass for a minute.

But he did have a chance to play over the weekend for the England U21s, and he actually came off the bench as a late sub and went wild, scoring one goal and assisting two. He changed the game and helped England beat France U21s 4-0. He was even named man of the match despite his late introduction.

England U21s boss Lee Carsley was impressed with Madueke, in words picked up by A Stamford Bridge Too Far.

Carsley said on Madueke: “He’s very talented, he’s got a lot of potential, and I think given the opportunity, he’s going to keep developing into a top, top player, and we’re looking at his results.”
