Chelsea fans rally against potential Earl’s Court move

The Times are tonight reporting that Chelsea fans are so unhappy with the prospect of the club moving their ground to a new build in Earl’s Court that they’ve produced a list of questions to be put to Todd Boehly and the rest of the ownership group.

Boehly and the new owners have pledged to change the stadium situation, either by expanding Stamford Bridge, or by finding a new site, and they’re currently in the investigation stage of it all. Everything is conditional upon the support of the Chelsea Pitch Owners, without whose assent Stamford Bridge can’t be sold.

To us, a move to Earl’s Court actually seems like a nice compromise. It’s only a stone’s throw away, but would allow a larger build than a redevelopment of the Bridge.

Still, staying put is still always our favourite option. 120 years of history is worth more than a little extra matchday revenue.

  1. Absolutely disgraceful. You should not be giving time to these fools. They speak for themselves only and not for the vast majority of fans. As a season ticket holder I want what is best for the club in order to compete at the top. Have no issue with moving to Earls Court as its right around the corner. Fans like this are damaging to the club and should not be given publicity. They do not represent most fans. Do not give them publicity

  2. All if we had the space at the Bridge to produce a world class stadium I would want to stay.
But I don’t think we have the room,so the next best thing in my opinion is to move to Earls Court,at least we wouldn’t have to move to Wembley for 5 years.
