He says that Cesar Azpilicueta has been in contact with 27 year old Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, who has turned down the Bees last few contract offers and is rapidly rattling towards free agency.
With Edouard Mendy in a similar situation at Chelsea, could we be about to see Chelsea bring in one to replace the other? It seems possible, and the Blues are far from the only team trying to persuade the 27 year old to join them.
Now we do have some doubts about the story. Let’s not forget that Chelsea’s current first choice keeper is not only Spanish but Basque, just like Azpi. Kepa has been at the club for years and is clearly friends with Azpi.
