Anthony Barry wants Bayern move – compensation being negotiated

The football news of the last few days has been focused on Munich, where there are unusual late season changes going on at Bayern

Julian Nagselsmann is out, former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is in, and is already talking about his desire to bring a coach of his from Stamford Bridge.

Anthony Barry was already at the club when Tuchel arrived, but clearly the German coach has enjoyed working with him, and wants to give him a promotion and a new role at Bayern.

We suspected that Tuchel would only go public like that if he knew Barry was keen, and indeed today we’re hearing from German sources that that is the case – and it’s now just a matter of negotiating a settlement with Chelsea.

It’s a blow to the new ownership, who are trying to build an all star organisation, and don’t want to miss out on a thing.
