Jamie Carragher was on punditry duties for tonight’s 0-0 draw between Chelsea and Fulham, and the former Liverpool player said that he was puzzled by the fact the Blues had spent hundreds of millions without buying a stirker.
“The thing that leaves you scratching your head is… they haven’t brought a striker in,” Carragher pointed out after the Blues failed to score again.
There are reasons for it we’re sure – Christopher Nkunku is arriving in the summer and maybe the plan is for him to be our main number 9. But it’s true that it’s a bit of a head scratcher from the outside.
