Most managers spend their press conferences pleading – directly or indirectly – for their bosses to spend some money on the team.
Graham Potter has never had to do that – and in fact on Sky Sports this evening, Jamie Carragher has claimed that he believes that Graham Potter’s job is actually going to be more difficult now he’s had so much money spent on his team.
“I think it makes it tougher,” the former Liverpool player said, pointing out that expectations will only be higher now.
