Fabrizio Romano has uploaded a video on his Youtube channel in which he states that N’Golo Kante is advancing in talks with Chelsea over a new deal and that now the chances are much more like “60% or 70%” that he renews with the club.
Kante has given full priority to Chelsea over other clubs as he loves London and Chelsea and the hope is that a new deal will be signed soon.
The main issue now to resolve is not the salary, which has not been reported yet, but the length of the deal.
Given Kante is 31 years old, we should not expect to see anything longer than a two or three year contract.
