“If this team plays, they will beat Tottenham 3-0” – Sky Sports pundit delivers verdict on Spurs vs Chelsea

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has delivered his verdict on the team that Graham Potter should start against Spurs on Sunday afternoon.

Merson believes that if Potter picked the team he would, Chelsea will win the match 3-0.

He goes onto give his line-up for the match: “This is the starting XI I hope Potter goes with: Kepa, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Enzo Fernandez, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Joao Felix. “If this team plays, they will beat Tottenham 3-0”

Merson went onto deliver a damning verdict on two of Chelsea’s new signings: “If he plays Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke, they won’t beat Spurs.”

Maybe Paul Merson should take the job if Graham Potter did pick that team and we won 3-0. Chelsea have not scored more than two goals in a league game this season since the victory over Wolves all the way back in October.

Potter has the luxury of some returning stars including Wesley Fofana and Denis Zakaria to select from on Sunday. N’Golo Kante is also expected to be back in March and could make the bench for the second leg tie in the UEFA Champions League against Borussia Dortmund.
