“I don’t understand how it is possible” – Jurgen Klopp questions Chelsea spending

Jurgen Klopp held his pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool’s match with Wolves tomorrow afternoon and as with so many managers right now, he was asked his thoughts on Chelsea’s spending.

Klopp said: “I’ll say nothing without my lawyer”, “I don’t understand this part of the business, it’s a big number. They are all really good players so congratulations. I don’t understand how it’s possible, but it’s not for me to explain”.

Clearly, Klopp is confused, like everyone else, however, if you do a bit of research, you would know that Chelsea’s spend was very possible due to the amortised contracts over a long period, of course, UEFA are going to now limit amortisation spread to five years but Chelsea have plans to sell off a high number of academy players and first team players in the summer in order to raise funds and balance the books.

Chelsea are undergoing a rebuild and securing top-class players like Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk amongst others enables Chelsea to avoid summer competition and be ahead of the curve almost.

  1. Hipocresía cobarde, siempre es chelsea el unico cuestionado, no pueden ocultar su envidia y reselo solo se ponen en ridículo ante la gran categoría financiera que el tío Todd les ha propinado jajaja grande chelsea orgullo de Londres!

  2. Chelsea are a powerful club. They want to continue to win trophies. Jealousy is rampant in football. I want Chelsea to buy all the best players in the world and dominate the world. We also need to get rid of about 10 players who are duds. Mr Klopp should be told that the clubs with the most money should be allowed to spend. Spending money is not a crime
