“He’ll be fighting for his place” – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Chelsea future looks bleak

Chelsea played out a dull 0-0 draw with Fulham tonight, and perhaps the spiciest action of the evening came before a ball was kicked.

Earlier in the afternoon, it was revealed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the unfortunate man chosen to be chopped from Chelsea’s overstuffed Champions League squad.

It was always going to be a tough call for Graham Potter, with no easy answers. Given Aubameyang hasn’t been in his plans recently (and wasn’t in the squad for tonight’s Premier League game either), it was the right call from our coach.

You can see the manager speaking in the clip embedded here:

“He’ll be fighting for his place” Potter said of his forward. That is true, technically, but let’s face it, he was already 3rd choice, and it feels like at least 2 players have since joined the club who will be picked ahead of him.

We genuinely may not see the Gabon striker again in a Blue shirt.
