Graham Potter shuts down outside noise over Chelsea spending

Chelsea’s head coach Graham Potter has shut down outside noise when it comes to Chelsea’s spending.

Much has been made from the media and also managers about Chelsea’s eyewatering January transfer outlay under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital however Potter does not seem too interested or bothered with the media talk.

Potter told Chelsea’s website: “You’re best to compare to yourself rather than somebody else because you don’t know the context or the situation. I also understand that’s the world we’re in, and that’s fine”

To be fair to the other managers that have commented on Chelsea’s business like Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Frank, the reporters at their recent press conferences definitely have been pocking the stick almost by asking them repeated questions around the outlay, the reporters ideal scenario is to get a reaction from them to make a headline.

Chelsea are preparing for a trip to West Ham United this Saturday.
