Graham Potter always likes to play down his role in transfers and signing players, repeating “I’m just the head coach” whenever he can.

Enzo Fernandez is now his player, signing for the British transfer record. So even Potter had to bring some thoughts to the table on this one.
“I’m very, very pleased” Potter glowed in his presser today. “He’s a fantastic player…. an impressive young man,” the coach glowed of the World Cup winner.

On the subject of whether the new man could feature tomorrow, Potter said “we’ll see,” noting that there was still a question of registration and the language barrier.
Then again, Potter threw Joao Felix in to our last game against Fulham just 24 hours after he signed form Atletico Madrid – Enzo will have had a relaxing 72 hours by comparison.
