Andrey Santos to Palmeiras breaks down

Andrey Santos’s loan move to Palmeiras is now officially off after Chelsea changed the terms late on, reports geglobo in Brazil.

Chelsea wanted to get a fee for the loan, something which Palmeiras were unwilling to agree on.

Chelsea have been actively exploring loan moves for Santos after the Premier League explained to the Blues that he would not be receiving a work permit as he did not meet the satisfactory amount of points and was not considered a vital enough player to get a work permit mid season.

It remains unclear what will happen now in terms of where Santos ends up, Chelsea may look at a European club but there are limited markets to do business in right now.

Santos had a fantastic Sudamericana sub 20 tournament in South America by winning the trophy with Brazil, as well as taking home the player of the tournament award and sharing the golden boot award with team mate Vitor Roque.
