Chelsea and Benfica are still locked in negotiations over Enzo Fernandez, and as Julien Laurens explained on the ESPN FC show, there’s a reason we’ve put all our deadline day eggs in this basket.
Jules said that despite the cost and despite the time left to get a deal done, there is “no one better” for Chelsea than Enzo. We reckon the club agree – that’s why they’ve settled back on him after spending a few weeks time casting glances around Europe looking for someone better.
