Chelsea are on the verge of selling Jorginho to Arsenal, and a second midfielder could yet depart too.
Sky Sports are reporting that Newcastle are keen on Conor Gallagher, but that Chelsea would want a “premium price” estimated to be around £50m for the academy product. With Jorginho leaving they’re going to be very short in midfield, and you can understand their reluctance.
The point is not that Chelsea want to sell and have that price in mind, it’s more that they don’t want to sell, but could be persuaded to tear up their plans by a bid that was that irresistibly large.
