Two Everton targets back on the radar for Chelsea

Frank Lampard has been sacked as Everton manager, and given it’s January, that’s led to a host of new transfer ideas being stirred up.

Matt Law is first on the scene, and he links the Blues to two players we’ve heard connected with a move to Stamford Bridge before.

First up is Anthony Gordon, who was heavily linked with us in the summer – and was the subject of at least one actual bid. Then there’s Amadou Onana, whom Chelsea were linked with when he was a Lille player.

The move for Gordon seems less likely now as we’ve spent so heavily on other wide attackers.

But Onana is an interesting target – a dominant central midfielder in a style we’re sorely lacking.

If Everton look set to go down they might sell him for cheap in the summer – but it’s hard to see it happening in January when he’s a key part of their attempts to stay up.
