Three players who Chelsea fans should not expect to see starting against Liverpool

We’re all very excited today because we’ve seen Mykhailo Mudryk in training for the first time, with Reece James and Ben Chilwell also present as they return from injury.

We’re all itching to get them out on the pitch, but Chelsea fans expecting to see starts for any of them on Saturday should hold their horses.

Firstly let’s remember that Mudryk hasn’t played a competitive game since November. We’re sure we will see him off the bench, but a start feels like a stretch – unless he manages to convince Graham Potter he’s match fit within the next 48 hours.

The other two are both into their second season of injury hell, and have had relapses both this season and last. If we’ve learned anything from their saga, it’s to easy them in slowly.

After Saturday’s game there is also a 13 day break before our next match – the perfect time to build them up for a start against Fulham…
