Liverpool want to buy award winning Chelsea player

Chelsea’s online fanbase, especially on Twitter, have been focusing on one Chelsea player in particular over the last few weeks and months with many shaming this one individual for a series of bad performances despite being a two time Chelsea player of the year.

That player is of course, Mason Mount. Liverpool are said to be one of the clubs monitoring his situation at Chelsea as contract talks rumble on.

Reliable Liverpool reporter David Lynch has given an update on Liverpool’s stance when it comes to Mason Mount on site Liverpool.no stating that “Liverpool want to buy Mount and have liked him for a long time” whilst the article states that “he appears to be a transfer target in the summer” which would rule out any late January move.

It will be interesting to see what Chelsea do in terms of Mason’s contract given that he has been a regular starter under every Chelsea manager he has played under (Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel and now Graham Potter) whilst the Chelsea board and owners will likely also take into consideration the fact that Mason has been at the club since he was a kid which shows his loyalty in Chelsea blue.

Furthermore, from a fans point of view, it is very clear to see that Chelsea’s ownership which is headed up by Todd Boehly and Behdad Egbhali are leaning towards building a young, talented squad which has been shown by the recruitment since their takeover with the likes of Wesley Fofana, David Fofana, Cesare Casadei, Mykhailo Mudryk and Benoit Badiashile all being 22 years old or younger, you would imagine Mason fits into this idea when in comes to the reshaping of the Chelsea squad, rather than being one of the individuals that see’s themselves having to leave the club.
