The Blues have been on the hunt for a new midfielder to come in this window to bolster the ranks in that area of the park, having seen an early attempt to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica fail.

As you can see from their tweet below, they say that Chelsea are set to finalise a midfielder signing today, and that deal is expected to be an initial loan move. Chelsea are confident that a full agreement is soon to be reached after a breakthrough in talks today.

Unfortunately they do not name any players, so we will all have to play some guessing games until anything else comes out about it, if it’s true.
