Chelsea are attempting to pull off a last minute deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica today, and it’s been really heating up as the day has gone on.
The Blues are set to spend around £100m in total if they can get this done, but even after that, they will still be on the hunt to sign another new midfielder in the summer, according to insider Ben Jacobs today.

Jacobs was speaking about what Chelsea want to do next in this big squad rebuild, and even if they get Enzo, they still want another midfielder in the summer.
Jacobs said: “Chelsea will also want another midfielder. We know they will likely try for Declan Rice, going head-to-head (again!) with Arsenal. And if Caicedo is still available come summer, I expect Chelsea to try again.”
