Chelsea “have agreed personal terms” with latest transfer target

There’s a week left of this window, but we’re not expecting it to slow down anytime soon.

Chelsea’s priorities now are a creative midfielder and a right back, and they’re deep in negotiations with Benfica over the transfer of Enzo Fernandez to be the former.

That leaves just right back, and on that front things are moving quickly in our chase for Malo Gusto.

Football.London are now reporting that Chelsea “have agreed personal terms” with the full back, who has shown real talent as a teenager breaking into the Lyon team over the last two seasons.

This pre-agreement is often the case of course, and these days clubs have usually agreed at least the basics of a contract with a player coming in before a transfer fee is agreed.

What comes next will be the clubs going back and forth over a fee – but when that’s sorted, things should move fast.
