It looks like we might be getting to a bit of a panic situation in midfield right now as Chelsea attempt to sign a suitable profile before the window ends.
We’ve all been following along with the stories of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, with neither now looking very likely to happen.
As always, Chelsea will be looking at a number of different names in any one position at a time, and Fabrizio Romano has even reported today that Chelsea are working on many names in midfield right now.

Well, one of them may well be Romeo Lavia at Southampton, according to sources at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea today.
Chelsea are seriously considering making a late push to try and sign him this window, as they did in the summer as well.
As well as that, Sheffield United’s Sander Berge is also being considered for a last minute pursuit.
