Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has been speaking via a new exclusive on the Chelsea website that’s come out this morning.
There are some really interesting snippets from a player who is going to be hugely exciting and has an incredibly high ceiling.

The Blues stormed in to sign him from Aston Villa in the summer and it was a deal that came from nowhere. It was actually quite refreshing. There were no links, no rumours, and then Chelsea just announced him as a new player via a simple tweet one day on Twitter. It was a great way to conduct business, and a signing that was celebrated by Chelsea fans as they knew the real talent they were getting.
Graham Potter has been putting his trust in Carney and handed him some solid game time, to which he appreciates and has helped him feel like he belongs at the club:

He’s played in a few positions too so far, but he’s made it clear what his preferred role is:
Carney Chukwuemeka on his best position: "I’m probably most comfortable as a left 8 in a three. But further forward I can drift off the line, or stay out wide. It gives me that freedom to drive with the ball and receive it in pockets. It is always good to be versatile."

He’s also been doing extra gym work!:
Carney Chukwuemeka on spending extra hours in the gym before and after training: "It has improved me a lot physically and powerfully as well. I’ve been noticing a difference from earlier in the season. I feel sharper as well, running with the ball."
