While the eyes of the world are still on the World Cup semi finals, clubs across Europe are getting back into gear to prepare for the restart of the season.
Chelsea’s group had a nice break before joining up for their training camp in Abu Dhabi. Now they’re back in England at Cobham, and ready for the next stage.
Adam Newson reports that the next tranche of players – those who did go but went out in the group stage – are due back at the training ground today.

They didn’t get as much of a break as their colleagues, but it’s still been a solid two weeks rest for most of them.
The fun and games in Qatar is over, and we have to refocus on a season that was sliding out of control when we left off. The sooner these guys are working at Cobham again, the better. They need all the training time they can get.
