Romelu Lukaku was supposed to use this World Cup as a shop window to help him move away from Chelsea – but it couldn’t have backfired more.
A poor tournament was capped off by a jaw droppingly bad showing today, as the Chelsea loanee missed 4 sitters to cost his team guaranteed progress to the next round. It somehow managed to top anything we saw last season at Chelsea.
As you can see in the video here, the forward then put his first through some dugout plexiglass – amazingly the second Chelsea related Belgian to do so in Qatar, following Thibaut Courtois’ effort after the loss to Morocco.
