Graham Potter’s important update on two more Chelsea stars

Graham Potter released injury updates on four key players who were seen in training this week – Reece James, N’Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell and Wesley Fofana.

But there are to others with more minor issues who he also expects to see in training soon.

Kepa Arrizabalaga’s foot issue seemed minor – it was minor enough that he played until half time in the game in which he picked it up. But its weeks since then, and he’s still not back in the team – although Potter assured us that he has “stepped up his rehab.”

Given he’s a goalie and doesn’t need much “match fitness” in the traditional sense, we feel we could well see him in time to get fit for our next game on the 27th.

The final injury is to Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is not a permanent first choice even though he’s played a lot this season.

He’s apparently doing some gym work and will be ready to rejoin the team next week.

Without wanting to jinx it, it sounds like we will be very close to a fully fit squad by the time we play our next game, on the 27th December.
