Croatia star offers to buy Lukaku a month’s holiday after World Cup disaster

Romelu Lukaku dropped one of the most chilling disaster-classes ever seen at the World Cup as Belgium were eliminated following a 0-0 draw with Croatia.

The striker missed 4 extremely presentable chances for the Belgians, and was distraught at full time as the failure to score just one meant his country went home.

His tears didn’t spare him from “trolling” however. Former Croatia star Ivan Rakitic, who has retired from international duty, celebrated his country’s qualification on Instagram, and referenced Lukau’s horror show.

“We [Croatians] have to pay him a month of vacation in Split!” the Sevilla midfielder said in quotes picked up by the Metro.

He is just happy to see his country go through, and while it may seem cruel to rub it in against a fellow professional, we’re sure Lukaku will take it in the right spirit. He’s young enough to have at least one more World Cup in him, ad he will be hoping he comes up against the Croatians again so he can make Rakitic eat his words.

  1. Tronkaku? Ese tronco no se levantará más, no tiene la personalidad ni la humildad que se requiere, ojalá mi chelsea recupere algo de ese dinero tirado a la basura. .
