Chelsea’s kick off time against Man City revealed as Blues prepare for another early cup clash against champions

Chelsea drew Manchester City, the hardest possible team they could have drawn, in the very first round they played in of the League Cup.

They lost. That’s a shame because it ruined their chances of winning that trophy – but it also removed a run of games in that competition which provides great opportunities for fringe players and youth players to succeed. A real pity.

At least we have the FA Cup… except, of course, in the first round we’ve entered, we’ve drawn… Man City again.

The games aren’t until the weekend of the 6th of January, which seems far away but is actually only the third game we play after we return from this World Cup break. It’s not the easy win against lower league opposition that Graham Potter will have been hoping for.

The FA have today announced that our game against City will be on the Sunday, at 4.30, broadcast on BBC One as the highlight of a juicy weekend of FA Cup football.
