Chelsea ‘put on red alert’ to sign Joao Felix

Chelsea have reportedly been put on red alert for the potential signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

This has been the big transfer story of the last couple of weeks with a number of rumours and stories coming out about it. Felix is set to leave his club in the summer, and the suitors are lining up.

Chelsea moving to try and sign Ghana’s World Cup star!

According to The Evening Standard, one of those suitors is Chelsea.

They claim that a multitude of transfer suitors including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been put on red alert over Joao Felix. Atletico Madrid have placed an £86million (€100m) price tag on the 23-year-old forward.

Chelsea though, would need to move on attackers like Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech before moving for a player like Joao Felix. AC Milan are interested in a loan deal for Hakim Ziyech in January that includes the option for a permanent transfer, as per the same report.

So that might be something to watch.

  1. Everyone seems to be soiling their trousers that Joao Felix may be available, but can someone please contain their over-exuberance long enough to explain how he fits our setup? I for one just don’t see it. As long as we play a front three, how would we ever get the best out of Felix (who’s best playing off of a true 9)?
