Chelsea player’s house raided with ‘wife and young children’ in the house

As the World Cup carries on, there has been an awful situation for one of England’s players back home.

Raheem Sterling was forced to pull out of the England squad for their 3-0 win against Senegal last night and return home to the UK.

Todd Boehly hoping his relationship with West Ham will help them get ahead to sign Declan Rice!

This was because his house was raided by armed invaders on Saturday, while his partner and young children were in the house. Naturally, Sterling was eager to get home.

As of yet, it is not clear if/when he will return to Qatar for the World Cup.

Our thoughts to Raheem and his family during this horrible incident, and what a low thing to do whilst he was away in Qatar.

Sterling would have been in for a shout to start the game last night, and he would have at least made an appearance off the bench. I do hope that everyone involved is OK and Sterling will be able to finish the World Cup with England.
