Chelsea play ‘in-house’ match at Cobham whilst WC goes on

As the World Cup reaches its climax, life goes on back in London for the rest of the staff and players.

The lads have been back training last week at Cobham, or at least those who have not been involved in the World Cup. The Blues academy players have also joined in to make up the numbers that are absent.

Todd Boehly hoping his relationship with West Ham will help them get ahead to sign Declan Rice!

Today they all landed in Abu Dhabi for some warm weather training and a friendly match against Aston Villa. But last week, there was also an ‘in house’ game played at Cobham between Chelsea’s remaining senior players and the development squad.

They weren’t mixed up, and it was the seniors against the Development squad, with the more experienced players coming out on top.

There is no score line reported by Football London, but the winners were.

Chelsea will now be moving onto Sunday and hoping to get some minutes for a number of the top young talents that have travelled.
