Chelsea loan pair shine in friendly and could play vital role in relegation battle

Chelsea sent two players to Hull City on loan this season, where they will now be coached by Liam Rosenior.

Both Harvey Vale and Xavier Simons have been superb in the youth teams for years, and they finally got their loan move this year.

Speaking after the Tigers’ friendly draw with İstanbul Başakşehir, their coach explained how pleased he had been with the pair, who both featured in the game.

He noted that it was his job to “help them develop,” and we hope that means we get to see more and more of them.

It’s not going to be easy for them down there battling relegation in a famously tough division, but the Championship is where we’ve seen some great prospects forged. Both Mason Mount and Reece James were catapulted into first team action after good spells in the Championship. Fikayo Tomori and Ola Aina both built top tier careers built on spells at Hull City.
