Chelsea and Liverpool ‘have made contact’ about signing World Cup midfielder

Chelsea and Liverpool have recently been linked with a number of the same players, and both clubs could soon be involved in some of the same transfer battles going forward.

It’s natural that the top clubs will be looking at the same players, and there are plenty of potential transfer sagas boiling up right now as we approach another transfer window.

Chelsea moving to try and sign Ghana’s World Cup star!

Also in the summer, both Chelsea and Liverpool are expected to be two clubs looking to make some big signings.

The latest name linked to both clubs is Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah.

According to 90min, both Chelsea and Liverpool have made contact with Yunus Musah’s representatives to register their interest in a transfer.

The report claims that Valencia have also opened contract talks with the United States midfielder in an attempt to fend off mounting interest from the Premier League in the 20-year-old.

Musah has been impressing for USA at the World Cup.

  1. Musah would be a great start on the much-needed overhaul of our midfield, but, as an American, I can’t say I love the idea of another countryman subjecting himself to the kind of crap Pulisic has had to contend with from the British media and Chelsea supporters (who seem to take glee in skewering our best and brightest). At least Musah doesn’t have the “Captain America” hype for folks to hang around his neck, but, having left Britain as a teen, I think it’d probably be better for him to stay in Spain (it, at the very least, away from Chelsea).
