A source speaks on whether Raheem Sterling will be going back to the World Cup

Raheem Sterling has had his house burgled whilst away in Qatar playing in the World Cup.

It’s been an awful ordeal for him and his family to go through, and naturally, he will be very concerned going forward.

Todd Boehly hoping his relationship with West Ham will help them get ahead to sign Declan Rice!

Sterling played a big part in England going through the group stages at the World Cup, but he had to miss the knockout win against Senegal and had to return home to the UK to be with his family after the incident took place.

It’s been unclear whether Sterling will return to Qatar and finish the World Cup with England, who play against France on Saturday evening in the quarter finals of the competition.

It seems though, that Sterling is putting his family’s safety first, naturally.

A source told The Sun: “Raheem has told everyone, ‘There is no way I’m going anywhere unless I’m 100 per cent sure that my family can be kept safe’.

“He is security conscious and part of the reason they moved into the property was that it is on a very exclusive estate, with regular security patrols. Despite this, he has still managed to be targeted, which is very upsetting for Raheem and Paige. They have just moved back to London and want to feel safe.”

This is obviously the most important thing. And perhaps Sterling will wait until after Saturday anyway now to see if England are even going to still be in the World Cup or not.
