It was a pretty negative press conference from Graham Potter today, as you can imagine.
He spent a lot of time explaining the defeat to Arsenal and defending players – including Raheem Sterling, who struggled again.
Potter reiterated he “believes” in the winger – which shouldn’t really need to be said about a vastly experienced multiple Premier League winner who has arrived as a star summer signing.
It’s a sign of Sterling’s and the team’s struggles overall that Potter needed to say it.
