Todd Boehly watches England as Chelsea interest in two key midfielders emerges

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was in attendance in Qatar this week to watch England beat Iran 6-2 in their World Cup opener.

There are many reasons that Boehly was there along with some associates, with two Chelsea players playing to keep a close eye on. But as well as that, he was, and will be continuing to, watch potential Chelsea targets for January and the summer windows coming up.

Sources: Big positive Declan Rice to Chelsea update!

According to The Telegraph, Boehly was also watching England midfielders Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice, and the report confirms Chelsea’s interest in both players.

Bellingham for me is just a pipe dream for Chelsea, but Rice is one of those deals that has always just felt inevitable, and it will become much more realistic this summer.

That is because he is running his contract down with West Ham, who will be willing to listen to offers in the summer. The report suggests they could lose him for just £70m.
