“Spurs are not that” – John Terry aims dig at Tottenham in Harry Kane conversation

One of the best things about this World Cup so far is that we have gotten to hear more from Chelsea legend John Terry.

The former Blues defender has been drafted in by beIN Sports to be a pundit on their World Cup coverage, and this means we get to read and hear great analysis from our former club captain and one of the best players to ever play for our club.

Sources: Chelsea keeping tabs on Premier League goalkeeper who doesn’t happen to play for Brighton!

And when he throws in a Tottenham dig as well, that just makes it even better!

Terry was speaking about Harry Kane in some recent analysis on the show, as cited by The Metro today.

Terry believes that Kane must leave Tottenham if he really wants to win some trophies in football, and he needs to go to a bigger club.

Terry said: “I think Harry Kane has got ambitions to go and win trophies – he’s clearly not going to do that at Tottenham is he? Let’s be honest. He’s not, clearly. Let’s be honest with ourselves.

“He’s one of the best strikers in the world. He wants to win trophies. He wants to play for the best and biggest teams.

“Spurs are not that, Spurs are not going to give him what he wants. He wants to finish his career with some trophies.”

Asked if Kane could join a club of the stature of Real Madrid, Stamford Bridge legend Terry added: “I could see it.”

His current contract at Spurs ends in 2024.
