Chelsea will have their best opportunity yet to sign a long-time club target in the summer.
This is the first time we have heard these claims made by such a reliable source as well.
Sources: The truth about Mason Mount’s contract situation!
But Matt Law of the Telegraph reports today that West Ham WILL sell Declan Rice in the summer, putting Chelsea and other clubs on high alert.
Law was speaking on the London is Blue Podcast today (as seen in the tweet below), and Rice was one of the subjects of conversation.
West Ham are preparing to sell Declan Rice for around £70m. Rice will definitely leave West Ham this summer.
There are 2 Premier League clubs ahead of Chelsea at the moment who have made big plays to sign Rice.@Matt_Law_DT with the latest on Rice 👉 https://t.co/xNmKirmRXQ pic.twitter.com/WPMvCtSYx5

Two other Premier League clubs having already started to work on a move could create an issue for Chelsea, but you’d suspect that Rice would pick Chelsea over any other club if he has multiple offers on the table.
It is just one of those moves that has always felt inevitable and something that will eventually happen, and this is Chelsea’s chance now to actually make it happen.
