Joao Felix linked with Chelsea for monster January transfer

The World Cup break is going to make this a very strange January transfer window for a lot of teams.

There could be an exceptional number of big name transfers after the tournament, and teams like Chelsea who have a lot of work to do will be busy throughout this extra period without any first team games.

So the fact that there are strong whispers in Spain about a move for Joao Felix doesn’t surprise us at all. He should have moved in the summer, but probably stayed put so as not to put his starting place for Portugal at this tournament at risk.

Once it’s over, Marca claim he’s ready to high tail it out of Atletico, and Chelsea are on the list of potential destinations.

We can’t resist dreaming about him as a creative fulcrum in the team, but the reality is that he’s had a career of disappointments so far, and we fear it would be the same at Chelsea.
