Graham Potter looking at former player if current Chelsea man leaves

Blues boss Graham Potter is reportedly looking at a number of his former Brighton players to come and join him at Stamford Bridge to bolster his squad.

We’ve seen many different names linked recently, and the club have even reached out to sign winger Leandro Trossard for January.

But there is another area on the pitch where Chelsea might need to add further reinforcements to, and that is probably the most important position, the goalkeeper.

According to The Daily Mail, Edouard Mendy’s Cheslea future is in doubt after he lost his number one spot to Kepa Arrizabalaga.

And Potter has one of his former players, Robert Sanchez from Brighton, in mind to potentially replace Mendy if he does leave, as per the same report above.

Potter obviously knows Sanchez very well and exactly what he would bring to that role, should Mendy leave and need replacing. Nothing concluded either way yet though.
