You would have seen some stories circulating over the weekend suggesting that Mason Mount had rejected a Chelsea contract, casting doubts over whether he will extend.
The report suggested that Mount was asking for closer to £300k-a-week.

However, sources at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea cleared up that this was incorrect, and the contract was rejected due to the 7 years being offered, and not so much the money. The base fee being offered was nowhere near £200k. In this report as well, we were told that there were no problems and it was expected that Mount will sign the contract.
Fabrizio Romano has now backed that up on his Caught Offside Substack Newlstter.

As you can see, neither club nor player foresee any issues.
