Club will finally ‘listen to offers’ for historical Chelsea target in the summer

It looks like if Chelsea finally want to try and land a player they have been linked with for the last four transfer windows, then they will have the perfect opportunity to do so in the summer.

We have seen the last two Chelsea managers reportedly wanting to sign West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice, and I am sure that Graham Potter would also not be willing to turn his nose up at the player either if given the opportunity. And he may well soon be given that opportunity.

Sources: Chelsea’s true stance on signing Cristiano Ronaldo revealed!

Chelsea continue to be linked with Rice even under the new ownership.

Now, a report from reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee, suggests that West Ham will finally listen to offers for Rice this summer coming.

It is always thought that Rice would pick Chelsea over any other club if an offer was on the table, but it remains unclear yet if Chelsea will make that move.

  1. Decline Rice is our main No.6 target to replace Jorginho n we needs quality backups for him as well n i was suggesting for Potter n his recruitment staff to check on these names n select the best out from them (1) Ajax’s Edson Alvarez (2) Benfica’s 21yrs old Fernandez (3) Palmeiras 21yrs old Danilo n (4) Brighton Moises Caicedo but my concern is about Caicedo’s price targ which i’ll leave with u professionals to handle

    1. Hard to see “Jorginho” and “No.6” in the same sentence without laughing since his lack of speed/acceleration means he can’t defend much beyond the patch of grass immediately under foot! So long as Jorginho was paired with Kante (our true 6) he was generally free to facilitate (which he does well), but he’s a huge liability with Kante injured.

Bringing in Rice seems a no brainer, particularly since he can fill in at CB in a pinch. Still, I like the idea of having options B & C (and even D), as you suggest Franklin, because we don’t want West Ham extorting us the way Brighton did over Cucurella.

      1. Get Rice and Billy Gilmore back. Jorginho can’t tackle or jump spent half the game looking for fouls to gain possession. He certainly isn’t Makelele or Essien etc and creating chances is only likely when he is given time and that’s only in Europe. Sadly Kante is done. You’re correct on all points re Jorginho. I think Rice will have one year left Cucurella had only been at Brighton one year but yes we were ripped off.

    2. We tried to sign Alvarez in August and been linked with Caicedo already hardly new suggestions. Alvarez has been in poor form I watch Ajax every week. If that’s because he is angry he wasn’t allowed to join Chelsea is open to debate.
