Chelsea set appalling record with third consecutive home defeat to Arsenal

Chelsea have been beaten 1-0 by Arsenal at home – although it could easily have been 2 or 3.

The Blues barely constructed a single attack in the game, and the goal they conceded was phenomenally soft.

It means a third home defeat in a row against the Gunners, the first time that’s happened since 1974.

That is a terrible record – and it’s not just because Arsenal are looking so good at the moment. This Chelsea team look devoid of quality, devoid of motivation, and totally lacking in organisation and ideas.

We don’t really know where we go from here – we just have to hope that the World Cup break helps us out a little. Even buying new players in January doesn’t feel like it would help much. There’s a uniquely bleak and dour mood around the club at the moment – Graham Potter’s arrival lifted it briefly, but it’s as bad now as it was in the final weeks of Thomas Tuchel.

  1. This Graham Potter lacked the quality and experience to handle this club. Since he arrived on board things are getting worse by the day. Quality and passion is lacking. Every player is struggling. The better the management act now the better for our fans. We are tired of watching these frustrations. The blues are not longer blue again.
