Chelsea midfielder could be left frustrated with more lack of minutes at WC

We are being treated to another round of group matches in the World Cup today, with four games on again.

This morning, it was Switzerland versus Cameroon, and it was the aforementioned who narrowly came out on top, winning 1-0.

Sources: Big positive Declan Rice to Chelsea update!

We had been hopeful of some Chelsea involvement in this game, but that wasn’t to be. Denis Zakaria was called up for Switzerland and Cheslea fans were hoping he would be getting some needed match fitness.

However, in today’s game he remained an unused substitute and had to only watch on from the bench. This doesn’t stand well for the rest of the tournament, and I think he will be lucky to get any minutes at judging by this.

I’ve rated his couple of performances for us this season, but I guess this is a reflection on a player who has just not played anywhere near enough football in recent months, and that doesn’t look like changing at the World Cup either.

Chelsea, and Zakaria, could be left frustrated. This is a player who NEEDS minutes.
