Chelsea in a strange situation with goalkeepers as two new options added to shortlist

Chelsea are in a strange situation with their goalkeepers.

They spent load of money on Kepa, he turned out to be rubbish. So they go Edouard Mendy for cheap, and now he’s struggling so much that Kepa has been brought back in.

They’ve now got two goalkeepers they spent money on, and yet neither really convinces as a long term option.

So once again, the transfer rumours are starting up – unfortunately just linking us to other unconvincing stoppers.

Jordan Pickford is the name being suggested in the Sun today, and while he’s an established Premier League player and England starter, he’s not a choice that’s going to fill many Blues fans with confidence.

The other name mentioned is Robert Sanchez of Brighton. He looks an interesting prospect, but the Seagulls have fleeced a few times now, and will surely want huge money for their first choice goalie too.

Any keeper who has a good World Cup will surely be on our radar now.

  1. I believe Kepa has done a good job and should be kept and Mendy as a second keeper is still a good option at the moment we shouldn’t be looking for another keeper
