Anonymous Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has a predictably terrible game

We started to get very worried when we saw Graham Potter pick Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in midfield. That meant the striker was going to be playing today on the back of 90 minutes in midweek.

In the end the Gabon star was predictably dire – as he has been pretty much all season, even when he was scoring goals.

He touched the ball just 8 times. He’s not the type of striker you expect to be involved all game, but that’s still remarkably low. It reflects Chelsea’s total lack of influence in the game.

When he was brought off for Armando Broja, it at least felt like the Arsenal defenders had something to think about, although not much changed in the flow of the game.

It seems like Graham Potter wanted him to face his former team to get him psyched up. It didn’t work. At the moment, Aubameyang is looking as rubbish a signing as most people thought he would be.
