Chelsea have arrived at Stamford Bridge for tonight’s crucial Champions League game against AC Milan, and it was notable that all of the squad were wearing masks.
In a throw back to the dreaded Covid waves of the last couple of years, the whole group had dutifully applied their face coverings for the trip to their home stadium.
We’re not sure if this is a competition wide directive, a new internal policy introduced by Graham Potter, or a precaution due to positive tests in the group.
Covid infection numbers are on the way up across the continent, so it could be any.
