Ruben Loftus-Cheek now in Graham Potter’s first XI after impressive start to life under new coach

It’s fair to say that after a midweek game where he rested and rotated his squad, Graham Potter has been able to pick his strongest team today, injuries aside.

The Blues are playing Manchester United, so of course they want to go out all guns blazing. So it’s very interesting to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the team. That basically tells us that Graham Potter considers him a member of his strongest XI.

He’s not playing at right wing back either, by the looks of things. This will be RLC in central midfield, just reward for his excellent form in recent games.

We all know what he can bring, and if the rest of the team can give him the right platform, he can really do damage to a fragile Man U team with runs from midfield.

It’s superb to see him establish himself as a player on a level with multiple Champions League winners like Mateo Kovacic.
