Graham Potter gives update on Reece James injury

The one bad moment from tonight’s win over AC Milan was the moment where Reece James was subbed off with an injury.

Our hearts have been in our mouths ever since we saw him limp off – but it seems like we might be saved. Speaking after full time Graham potter said he was “hoping” the defender is “ok” – but added that we wouldn’t know for sure for another 24 to 48 hours. That’s a long time for us to sweat.

To be fair, that’s normal – you have to wait for the swelling to go down before you do the scans, and it’s only from the scans that they can tell how bad the issue is.

Reece James himself has also posted on Twitter celebrating the win and saying he “hopes it’s not a bad one.” That’s a promising sign to us, as was the fact that he was on the pitch at full time celebrating with his teammates.
