(Video): Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry lay into Todd Boehly’s “arrogant” comments

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly spoke at the SALT conference last week, and his comments caused quite a stir.

Some remarks about improving football in England were taken very badly by a lot of pundits, not least Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry who were on Champions League duty the next day.

They slammed his “arrogant” suggestions, which included playing a North vs. South all star game.

Bear in mind this took place on CBS, based in the United States, so they were hardly playing to the crowd here.

You can see their comments in the clip below and decide for yourself:

  1. It’s not … arrogant, it’s just that he fancies the all star matches. But I don’t think anyone else likes this.
In Greece we have these late season tournaments to decide Europe places. Maybe because we have only 14 teams in the first division but nobody ever liked this.
